The Canadian College of Health Information Management offers both certifications and micro-credentials.
Certification is a symbol of competency, relevancy, and trust – qualities that have never been more critical when handling a person’s health information.
Micro-credentials demonstrate expertise or proficiency in a particular skill or field of knowledge. They are designed to be stackable, allowing individuals to accumulate multiple micro-credentials to develop a comprehensive skill set tailored to their career goals or personal interests.

The Canadian College of Health Information Management currently offers five certifications, four of which require writing a national certification examination (NCE) in order to earn a professional certification.

The Canadian College of Health Information Management currently offers two micro-credentials, both of which require writing a national micro-credential examination (NME) in order to earn a CCHIM™ Digital Badge.
