Access to CERP is restricted to subscribers only. Interested institutions can subscribe today.
Access to CERP offerings
Once an educational institution has become a College Educational Resources Program (CERP) subscriber, faculty and students gain access to valuable educational resources. Please follow the appropriate steps for each offering.
CIHI’s eStore, Learning Centre, and eQuery
IMPORTANT:
Do not share this information. Access to CIHI products is limited to students and institution staff members with a valid CHIMA membership. Inappropriate access will result in an immediate suspension of CIHI access.
- Ensure you have a CHIMA membership (e.g., professional, student, affiliate, or retired)
- Sign in to your CHIMA account (name should appear, an indicator that sign-in was successful)
- Select the arrow beside your name and choose ‘My dashboard’
- Navigate to ‘Canadian College of Health Information Management’
- Click on the ‘Educational resources’ card to view all
- Click on the ‘CIHI resources’ card to learn more
- Fill out the ‘CIHI resources request for access form’
- Check your email for instructions to access eStore, Learning Centre, and eQuery through a password-protected web page (please check your junk folder)
NEW CIHI Discharge Abstract Database (DAD) data sets

- Visit cchim.ca/access-dad-data-sets and complete step one to access the agreement
- Please note: An institution will need to ensure the CIHI files will be centrally hosted and password protected in a secure environment for utilization. For greater certainty, a central environment such as a terminal service environment would be preferred.
- Return to cchim.ca/access-dad-data-sets and complete step two to upload the agreement.
- CHIMA will provide access to a secure SharePoint folder to download the data sets.
- Note: Access to the SharePoint folder will be valid for seven business days. Please plan the date of access accordingly with CHIMA.
