Announcing the Accreditation of St. Clair College’s Office Administration-Health Services Program

The Canadian College of Health Information Management (College) is pleased to announce the successful accreditation of St. Clair College’s Office Administration – Health Services Program.

The Office Administration-Health Services program at St. Clair College is a 2-year program that will provide students with the essential knowledge and training to garner success in a medical office.

Students will learn how to communicate effectively with medical professionals and patients. They will acquire the skills to perform office duties at a medical office or clinic, such as medical billing, medical transcription, and medical office procedures.

“We’re very pleased – for our students, our grads and for the employers who hire them – to add Office Administration – Health Services to the large number of our programs that are independently accredited by professional organizations,” said St. Clair President Patti France.  “Above and beyond the issuance of the College’s diploma, this new stamp of approval assures employers that our graduates are bringing job-ready skills of the highest and most current industry standards to doctors’ offices, clinics and hospitals.”

CEO & Registrar of the Canadian College of Health Information Management and CHIMA, Jeff Nesbitt shared his insights regarding the announcement.

“Our college is proud to announce the accreditation of the Office Administration – Health Services diploma program offered by St. Clair College,” Nesbitt said. “We look forward to supporting faculty and students through this program and welcoming graduates who write and pass our Health Information-Certified Associate (HICA) national certification examination (NCE). Certification recognizes health data as a key factor in providing safe and quality care to people across our country.”
