Self-regulated by peers and the College, certified professionals are held to a higher standard of practice and continuing education requirements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CHIM NCE is designed for the following:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graduates from a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cchim.ca\/program-directory\/?education=&amp;program_type=health-information-management&amp;program_location=&amp;program_delivery=&amp;college_status=accredited&amp;institution=\">College-accredited<\/a>&nbsp;health information management (HIM) program&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Graduates from a College-accredited&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cchim.ca\/program-directory\/?education=&amp;program_type=health-information-fundamentals&amp;program_location=&amp;program_delivery=&amp;college_status=accredited&amp;institution=\">Health Information Fundamentals<\/a>&nbsp;program with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cchim.ca\/join-the-profession\/degree-level-graduate\/\">an existing, recognized degree<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cchim.ca\/certification\/chim\/chim-nce-eligibility-and-dates\/\">Eligible professionals<\/a>&nbsp;under reciprocal agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates who successfully write the CHIM NCE earn a CHIM\u2122 professional designation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To register for the CHIM NCE, candidates must\u202fapply through their CHIMA account\u202fand provide payment.
