The Canadian College of Health Information Management is now accepting applications for the September 2023 Certified Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (CCDIS) national certification examination (NCE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinical documentation improvement (CDI) specialists impact the accuracy of medical documentation and coding in the health care system. The CCDIS NCE covers the following practice areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Anatomy and physiology, clinical pathology, and pharmacology<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Clinical coding skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Documentation improvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Leadership, communications, and education skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. CDI program metrics and analysis<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
